Andrew T. Hoyne

Andrew Hoyne is vice chair of Polsinelli Shughart's multidisciplinary Life Sciences group.  A recognized industry leader, Mr. Hoyne has more than 20 years of experience as a corporate attorney serving biotechnology and life sciences clients in the St. Louis region and throughout the nation.

Mr. Hoyne represents emerging and established life sciences companies spawned by regional universities.  He has helped launch and develop companies involved in cancer and cardiovascular research, medical devices and pharmaceutical products, as well as agricultural products. During his career he has helped his clients raise $100 million in capital to launch and grow life science and bio-tech companies.

He is recognized as a Best Lawyers in America for biotechnology and information technology law, a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer®, a Who’s Who in St. Louis Technology by The St. Louis Business Journal and is AV Peer Review Rated, Martindale-Hubbell.  In addition, Mr. Hoyne is one of the original organizers and past chair of the St. Louis Capital Alliance, a group dedicated to the development of a vibrant venture capital environment in the St. Louis region, by raising the area’s venture capital profile locally, nationally and globally.

Mr. Hoyne graduated from Washington University School of Law with his LL.M and his J.D. and received his B.A. from Knox College.  He is a frequent presenter and author in his area of law, having recently spoken before the American Bar Association in New York City on biotechnology material transfer agreements.
