Blake Reeves practices in the Firm’s Health Care Litigation group and focuses primarily on defending hospital systems and physician malpractice claims. With over 7 years of health law experience, Mr. Reeves has managed the litigation of health care claims from pre-suit investigations through trial. He routinely handles fact and expert discovery, depositions, dispositive motions and witness preparation. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Reeves directs mediations for health care clients and has prepared and argued appeals in the Missouri appellate courts. He also represents physicians and hospital systems in peer review matters, including physician credentialing reviews and matters before the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. He has defended regulatory and general liability claims against nationally managed nursing care facilities located in Kansas and Missouri. His products liability litigation experience includes defense work for commercial automotive manufacturers.
Prior to his civil trial practice, Mr. Reeves prosecuted several criminal trials for the Jackson County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney’s office, including felony, drug, assault and murder cases.
