Mr. Tierney’s practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law and commercial contract law. He has substantial experience representing clients in asset and equity acquisitions and sales, mergers, joint ventures, financing and a broad range of commercial transactions. In addition, he regularly counsels clients on general corporate matters, including entity selection and formation, corporate governance and general operational and compliance issues.
Mr. Tierney also assists clients in connection with government contracting, including assistance with startup and registration of government contractors, submission of contract bids, structuring and negotiation of subcontracts, teaming arrangements and joint ventures, implementing compliance measures and contract performance issues.
Mr. Tierney advises both public and private clients and has significant experience in counseling family owned businesses. His experience extends across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, insurance, professional services, beverage distribution and information technology services.
