Evan F. Fitts concentrates his practice in all matters of real estate development law, including land use and zoning, public finance, and commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. Fitts has significant experience assisting clients in navigating state and local government approval processes to obtain necessary and valuable development entitlements, including by securing planning and zoning approvals and real estate development incentives such as STAR bonds, tax increment financing, community improvement district financing, transportation development district financing, tax exemptions, and numerous other federal, state and local incentives.
Mr. Fitts also has substantial expertise in commercial real estate transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, leases, options, easements, and restrictive covenants. His experience in this area has been particularly useful in the representation of national renewable energy development clients in their efforts to secure real property and development rights across the United States.
