The national law firm of Polsinelli Shughart PC welcomes bankruptcy attorney Mary B. Martin to the firm as of counsel where she will practice in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring practice. Martin is part of the firm’s commitment to expand the corporate capabilities in the Phoenix office. She brings 12 years of experience and will assist clients with business restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy matters. She primarily represents financially troubled companies in both out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 reorganizations, and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Martin is a 1998 graduate of California Western School of Law where she was recognized with the American Jurisprudence Award in legal writing. She earned her undergraduate degree at University of Arizona in 1994. Prior to starting her practice in 1998, Martin served as a judicial extern for The Honorable George B. Nielsen, Jr. of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. She is a member of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Arizona State Bar and has articles published in the area of financial restructuring.
