Geoffrey D. Fasel engages in a variety of corporate representations for public and private companies, top management, and investors and entrepreneurs. His experience includes all stages of business, beginning with startup formation and including venture and private equity capital financing, commercial contracting, licensing and joint ventures, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex financial and strategic transactions. Drawing on his business background, Mr. Fasel serves as outside general counsel to companies in many industries, in all stages of development.
Mr. Fasel leverages his national and international relationships in the business, financial, scientific, and academic communities to assist his clients in developing and implementing their legal, financial, and business goals. His appreciation of the forces active in these spaces was shaped by early experience representing key leaders including the Stowers Institute and Bayer Animal Health, and continues with a wide variety of entities advancing human and animal health, plant science, “cleantech”, industrial and computer/software technologies, and bio and agro safety.
Mr. Fasel is often asked to speak on various aspects of business formation, operation, aggregation and attraction of capital, and strategic exits, including for the national meeting of the Association of University Technology Managers, as well as the Innovate! program at the Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Fasel is currently serving on the Translational Medicine Committee for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce's "Big Five" initiative.
