Jeanie Botkin's practice is exclusively devoted to the practice of insurance law with a specific emphasis on regulatory and compliance issues.
As past vice president of a managed care company, she developed extensive experience in the insurance industry. Ms. Botkin’s corporate background gives her a unique understanding of insurance matters from the client’s point of view.
Ms. Botkin has been involved in all aspects of an insurer’s operations. Her experience includes assisting insurance companies with advice and assistance on coverage issues; compliance with insurance holding company laws; filing requirements related to affiliated transactions; acquisitions; redomestications; licensing; unfair business practices; and surplus and excess lines insurance.
Besides insurers, Ms. Botkin has represented many other entities regulated by insurance departments including TPAs, MGAs, agencies, producers, HMOs, pharmacy benefit managers, vehicle service companies, adjusters, surplus lines insurers and captives.
Exciting developments in the captive industry have been her recent focus. The opportunities presented by the recently developed Delaware Series LLC captives as well as the competition among states present great opportunities for captive business.
