Prior to joining Polsinelli Shughart, Jason Pyrz represented some of the largest financial institutions in California as a creditor’s rights attorney. During that time, Mr. Pyrz was responsible for successfully having more than a dozen receivers appointed for his clients. He has extensive experience with rents and profits receivers on matters ranging from small apartment buildings to luxury hotel properties, with receivers appointed to complete construction on high-rise office towers, and with receivers appointed to take over failing businesses.
In addition to his experience with receiverships, Mr. Pyrz has served his clients’ special assets needs in virtually all aspects. He has negotiated loan modifications, note purchase agreements, and lease agreements for REO properties, and has initiated and managed numerous commercial real estate foreclosures.
Mr. Pyrz has also represented his creditor clients in various bankruptcy proceedings, and has successfully moved the court on multiple occasions for relief from the “automatic stay” so that his clients could proceed with collection or foreclosure efforts. Additionally, he has been deeply involved in adversary actions in the bankruptcy courts on matters ranging from a debtor’s breach of its fiduciary duty to its creditors, to automobile dealerships engaged in selling vehicles out of trust under floor plan financing agreements.
