Miriam Bailey is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation group, where she focuses on appellate practice and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Bailey has represented clients in professional liability, antitrust, class action, commercial lending, municipal finance, and sports licensing matters and complex contract disputes concerning construction, real estate, and manuscript insurance contracts.
Ms. Bailey has drafted briefs and assisted in oral argument to defend and obtain reversal of bench and jury verdicts in courts of appeal at both the federal and state levels. Also, Ms. Bailey has co-chaired jury and bench trials to obtain successful verdicts for clients, and has conducted and managed all aspects of pre-litigation factual investigations, including litigating and implementing complex discovery parameters in ESI-intensive matters.
Before joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Bailey served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Robert E. Larsen of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and to the Honorable Duane Benton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
