Michael M. Tamburini

Of Counsel

With broad experience in commercial litigation and creditors rights, Mike Tamburini practices within the Loan Enforcement area, enforcing the rights and remedies of clients in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts across the nation. 

Mr. Tamburini brings unique business experience to his practice by having spent the last seven years serving as general counsel and in other senior level management positions in the complex and heavily regulated industry of health care.

Prior to earning his law degree from Washington University School of Law – St. Louis, Mr. Tamburini earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Kansas Graduate School of Business.  Mr. Tamburini’s formal education in business and finance, combined with his senior level management experience, provides him with a keen understanding of business operations particularly valuable to lenders and other creditors.

Experience

  • Secured 100% recovery of approximately $500,000 in damages sustained by minority shareholder from fraudulent acts of majority shareholder following series of State court appeals which established new points of corporate law in published court opinions
  • Lead debtor’s counsel in orderly Chapter 11 liquidation of publicly held steel processing company, Huntco Inc., whose major creditor was Enron Industrial Markets, Inc.
  • Member of senior team responsible for directing the ultimate liquidation of a publicly held building materials and home improvement chain, Payless Cashways, Inc., liquidating over 110 commercial properties throughout the United States
  • Restructured department lines of reporting and work group relationships in multi-specialty medical practice of over 220 employees which increased work flow efficiencies and more effectively aligned departmental and individual activities with organization’s financial goals
