Polsinelli Shughart, Blake & Uhlig, P.A. and FMCS cordially invite you to SAVE THE DATE and join us for a special event:
Best Practices in Labor Negotiations and Mediations
Featuring George Cohen, Director of the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service
George Cohen was sworn in as the 17th Director of Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in 2009. During his tenure, Mr. Cohen has mediated several high-profile sports (MLS, NFL, NBA) and entertainment (Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic) negotiations, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration/National Air Traffic Controllers Association, and the American Red Cross and a coalition of major unions. Director Cohen has proactively pursued a program of encouraging the labor-management community to establish ongoing, cooperative committees devoted to problem solving as the most effective means for addressing complex and controversial issues that confront employers and their unions in today's difficult economic environment. Prior to becoming director, Mr. Cohen enjoyed a nearly 50-year career as a labor lawyer, negotiator and mediator. He was recognized in Best Lawyers in America for 25 consecutive years and has been named a Legend of the DC Bar.
And honoring Joseph Moreland, Labor & Employment Attorney with Blake & Uhlig, P.A.
Joe Moreland joined Blake & Uhlig, P.A., in 1978 to pursue an area of law he was truly passionate about – to be an advocate for labor and working families.
