The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association honored three Polsinelli Shughart PC attorneys with high legal honors at the KCMBA Annual Luncheon, December 10, 2010. The attorneys were honored, along with others, at the Bar Association’s 126th annual meeting at the Marriott Muehlbach Hotel downtown. Polsinelli Shughart attorneys who were honored for their bar involvement and commitment to the profession include: Timothy D. O’Leary, Lifetime Achievement Award; Gregory M. Bentz, President’s Award; Jack L. Campbell, President’s Award.

About the awards
Timothy D. O’Leary – The KCMBA presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to O’Leary for a lifetime of outstanding service resulting in the growth and development of law, improvements in the administration of justice and increased recognition of the contributions of the legal profession of the welfare of society. O’Leary served as a Jackson County Circuit judge for twenty years and currently focuses his law practice on alternative dispute resolution and business litigation. He is noted for managing the Hyatt Hotel skywalk litigation in state court involving hundreds of cases.
Gregory M. Bentz – The KCMBA presented the President’s Award to Bentz for outstanding contributions to the Association during the bar year. Bentz chaired the KCMBA Headquarters Task Force responsible for selecting the location, negotiating the lease, choosing the design and overseeing the build-out of the new KCMBA Headquarters, 2300 Main Street. Bentz, a past president of the KCMBA, is a shareholder who has practiced business litigation and antitrust law for more than twenty five years.
Jack L. Campbell - The KCMBA presented the President’s Award to Campbell for outstanding contributions to the Association during the bar year. Campbell served as co-chair of the Capital Campaign Committee and was responsible for helping secure more than one million dollars to relocate and modernize the KCMBA headquarters. Campbell is a shareholder who has practiced employment litigation, and labor and employment law for nearly 40 years. He is currently the city attorney for the city of Parkville, Missouri.
