Polsinelli Shughart PC, a national law firm committed to providing outstanding, innovative and creative solutions for its clients, welcomes financial services attorney Monika J. Prior to joining Polsinelli Shughart, Machen practiced at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP in Chicago.

Machen focuses her practice primarily on issues arising from Chapter 11 bankruptcies. During her legal career, she has had the opportunity to counsel a wide array of clients across a broad span of industries, including real estate, banking and finance, automotive, manufacturing and retail. Machen has counseled debtors, statutory committees, secured lenders, banks, unsecured creditors, equipment lessors, franchisors, asset purchasers in 363 sales, landlords and pro bono organizations.

Nasharr. “We are pleased to have her join our talented team of attorneys in financial services.”

Machen received her J.D. degree in 2000 from the University of Michigan Law School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. “Polsinelli Shughart’s presence in key bankruptcy markets, its entrepreneurial sprit, and commitment to outstanding client service were key reasons for my joining the firm,” Machen said. “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to build on and help expand the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice.”
