Polsinelli is expanding its Real Estate department with the addition of shareholder Steven G. Wright to its Denver office. The 33-year real estate veteran helped develop some of Colorado’s most recognized commercial and residential projects.

“Steve’s experience in all facets of real estate law will be a tremendous asset to our firm as we expand our practice in the Rocky Mountain Region and nationally,” said Daniel J. Flanigan, chair of the firm’s Real Estate department.

Wright joins the firm following a 33-year career at Denver-based Isaacson Rosenbaum, which closed in June after 50 years in business. Wright said he was attracted to Polsinelli’s national real estate practice and continued growth in several key industries.

“I’m excited to join a firm with a wide national reach that is growing in critical areas including health care,” Wright said. “The combination of a strong national real estate platform with a deep local presence is an ideal fit for my practice.”

In May, Polsinelli expanded its health care practice with the addition of 11 attorneys to its the Denver office. The firm also expanded its financial services practice in Denver.

“Steve is a talented and highly respected attorney who will bring a lot to our Denver office and our national real estate practice,” said Eugene R. Commander, managing partner of the firm’s Denver office. “As the firm continues strategic growth here in Denver and nationally, we are pleased to attract the very best talent and offer opportunities for attorneys to expand their practices.”

The firm’s Real Estate practice offers counsel on a full spectrum of real estate issues, including transactions and development, zoning and land use and public policy. The practice includes attorneys in Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Mo., New York, Overland Park, Kan., and St. Louis.

Projects Wright helped develop in Colorado include:
  • The Breakers, a 1,529-unit luxury rental community in Denver
  • The Preserve, a 522-home luxury single-family residential community and nature preserve in Greenwood Village, Colo.
  • Pradera, an 825-lot golf course community in Parker, Colo.

Colorado Super Lawyers recognized Wright numerous times as one of the state’s top real estate attorneys, including in 2011. Wright earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University.
