Polsinelli, one of the nation’s fastest growing law firms, welcomes attorney Robert A. Penza as a shareholder to practice business litigation. Penza joins the Delaware office where he will continue to focus his practice on complex civil, commercial and fiduciary litigation, primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
“Polsinelli has a national reputation for premiere business litigation capabilities and that is important to me and the growth of my practice,” said Penza. “I’m excited about collaborating with some of the most respected litigation attorneys nationwide, and my clients will find value in the firm’s coast to coast resources.”
The Delaware office recently doubled its office space in downtown Wilmington to accommodate growth in its bankruptcy and financial restructuring business and prepare for a strategic expansion into corporate law, litigation, intellectual property and other business transactions issues.
“Bob’s depth of experience in all types of business litigation complements our growing financial services capabilities and expands our ability to serve our clients’ business needs,” said Christopher A. Ward, managing shareholder of the Delaware office. “We are pleased to have him onboard.”
Penza has extensive litigation experience representing institutional and individual trustees and beneficiaries in trust litigation. A litigator in both federal and state courts, Penza is highly skilled at reaching amicable resolutions to contentious disputes. He has often served as Arbitrator for the Superior Court’s required Alternative Dispute Resolution, and has been selected by the Delaware Court of Chancery as a Receiver.
Penza is a member of the Delaware Bar Association, the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1989, and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in 1986.
The expansion of the Wilmington office, along with the opening of new offices in Dallas and Los Angeles, highlight an exciting period of overall growth for Polsinelli. The National Law Journal ranked the firm in 2011 as “the third fastest growing law firm in the country.”
