Anthony J. Nasharr, managing director of the Chicago office of Polsinelli Shughart PC, announced today that attorney Jason L. Pyrz has joined as an associate in the Financial Services department and will specialize in creditors’ rights, loan enforcement and creditor bankruptcy representation.
Prior to joining Polsinelli Shughart, Pyrz represented some of the largest financial institutions in California as a creditors’ rights attorney. During that time, he was responsible for successfully having more than a dozen receivers appointed for his clients. Pyrz also has extensive experience with rents and profits receivers on matters ranging from small apartment buildings to luxury hotel properties, with receivers appointed to complete construction on high-rise office towers and with receivers appointed to take over failing businesses.
“Jason’s receivership experience will add depth to our Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy group in Chicago,” said Nasharr. “He also has served his clients’ special assets needs in virtually all aspects. In these challenging times, it is imperative that attorneys provide responsive, comprehensive service to their clients in a cost effective manner. Jason is a talented lawyer and a welcome addition to our firm.”
Pyrz also has represented his creditor clients in various bankruptcy proceedings and has successfully moved the court on multiple occasions for relief from the “automatic stay,” allowing his clients to proceed with collection or foreclosure efforts. Additionally, he has been deeply involved in bankruptcy adversary actions such as debtors’ break of their fiduciary duty to creditors.

Pyrz is a 2006 graduate of the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While working on his Bachelor of Arts degree at Loyola University in Chicago, he was a member of the NCAA Division 1 men’s volleyball team. Pyrz is actively involved in the Chicago Bar Association and also serves as a youth volleyball coach for Altitude Volleyball Club in Crete, Illinois.
