Polsinelli Shughart PC expands its Health Care practice with the addition of attorney Tina M Boschert. Boschert joins the firm as associate, and will assist clients on general health care issues and corporate transactions on behalf of various health care providers. Prior to joining the firm, Boschert worked as a director risk management/ethics & compliance for a major metro-area hospital, and is a registered nurse.

Boschert’s addition to the Health Care practice is a result of the recently enacted Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPCA), or Health Reform, to help meet clients’ needs. In its May 31 issue, Modern Healthcare named Polsinelli Shughart the tenth largest health care law firm in the country based on its 56 attorneys and other
professionals who are members of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Prior to joining the firm, Boschert held leadership positions in a hospital setting overseeing risk management, regulatory and corporate compliance, investigational research operations and medical staff where she acquired considerable knowledge concerning health care operations and regulatory compliance. Her areas of experience include interpretation and application of Medicare Conditions of Participation, state licensure requirements, The Joint Commission standards, medical peer review, EMTALA, HIPAA, and Stark related matters.
Boschert earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Law, cum laude in 2005 and her bachelor of science-nursing, 1999 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Kansas Bar.
