Polsinelli Shughart PC, announced today that labor and employment attorney Elisa B. Reinsmith has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Trial department focusing on workplace issues counsel and litigation.
Reinsmith’s practice includes counsel for management in a variety of labor and employment law matters, ranging from non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure enforcement to management support during union organizing campaigns and collective bargaining negotiations. Her experience also includes defending claims in federal and state courts involving discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as representing management before state and local agencies on various workplace issues.

Reinsmith is a contributing author to the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment Law’s treatise on The Family and Medical Leave Act. She has also contributed to articles on the Older Worker Benefit Protection Act, whistleblower laws, various wage and hour issues and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Reinsmith earned a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2004. She earned a B.S. degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001.
