The Board of Regents of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel has elected Robert J. Selsor as a Fellow. The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) is a national organization with approximately 2,600 lawyers elected to membership based on the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. Selsor is a shareholder at Polsinelli Shughart PC and chairs the firm’s fiduciary and trust litigation practice group. He is one of a relatively small number of fiduciary litigators admitted to the organization.

Selsor represents both defendants and plaintiffs before a variety of state and federal tribunals, including state circuit courts, federal district courts, as well as the Missouri Supreme Court, the federal Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Seventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He is active in mediation and arbitration as well and is often recommended by the courts to serve as a mediator in trust and probate disputes. In 2008, he served as mediator in a trust dispute involving claims exceeding one hundred million dollars. Selsor joins five other Polsinelli Shughart attorneys who are Fellows of ACTEC, including Practice Group Chair T. Jack Challis, Kenneth E. Hand, Lisa D. McLaughlin, Scot W. Boulton and John Schmidt.
