Polsinelli Shughart continues its growth with the addition of associate Adam B. Merrill to the firm’s Trial department. Merrill will practice in the White Collar Defense and Government Investigation group, and will advise clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-indictment, trial, post-indictment and appellate review.

Merrill joins Polsinelli Shughart’s national Trial department which includes more than 180 attorneys practicing in Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. Attorneys in the department have tried and won cases and appeals on behalf of some of the largest companies and against some of the most acclaimed law firms in the nation.

Merrill earned his law degree, cum laude, from Arizona State University – Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2011. He earned his B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University in 2002. Prior to joining Polsinelli Shughart, Merrill worked as a legal extern for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Civil and Criminal Divisions. He is bilingual in both written and spoken Spanish.
He joins the expanding Phoenix office, which has grown from 20 to 66 attorneys in two-and-a-half years. The National Law Journal has ranked the firm as the “third fastest growing law firm in the nation.” In 2011, the firm added offices in Dallas and Los Angeles.
