Polsinelli Shughart PC welcomes attorney Amy D. Fitts to the firm as an associate to practice business litigation in the Trial department. Ms. Fitts rejoins the firm after a two-year clerkship for the Honorable John R. Gibson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Fitts participated in the drafting and revising of judicial opinions and assisted Judge Gibson in preparation for oral arguments throughout the country.
“My experience with the Court of Appeals enables me to advise clients throughout all stages of litigation on how to best position their case for successful judicial review,” said Ms. Fitts.
Prior to her clerkship she worked as an associate in the Business Litigation practice at the firm. Ms. Fitts graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2007. She served as a member of the Missouri Law Review and was elected to both the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers

Ms. Fitts earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from University of Central Missouri in 2004. She is a member of the Missouri and Illinois Bar Associations.
