Tony Nasharr has been a trusted business advisor for 30 years. As a Capital Markets and Banking and Financial Institutions attorney, he has represented several bank clients in a broad scope of commercial transactions and operations issues. Having grown up in a family business, Tony has a keen sense of family and closely held business dynamics.

Tony has attracted clients in a broad range of industries ranging from trucking and waste recycling to manufacturing and service providers. Tony has seen many clients grow in their respective industries and has been privileged to grow with them by providing them with the depth and breadth of the legal services provided by Polsinelli attorneys in key legal disciplines.

In each engagement for his business clients, Tony has the experience of past transactions to draw from in order to bring the right colleagues on board to handle the clients' needs.

He has represented both domestic clients in pursuing growth opportunities overseas and foreign-based clients seeking opportunities in the United States. As one of the key contact partners for Polsinelli’s association with Multilaw, a multinational association of 75 full service law firms around the world, Tony has developed relationships with lawyers in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, and South America. These relationships assist firm clients in their pursuit of business opportunities and objectives in a globalized economy.

  • Counseled a financial institution in hundreds of commercial loan transactions over a 25-year period as it grew from a $4 billion to a $20 billion institution.
  • Provides transaction counsel and day-to-day legal guidance to a privately held trucking company conglomerate.
  • Coordinated the collective sale of the Chicago Water Market District, comprised of 160 separate parcels owned by 53 distinct business operators and property owners within the district for conversion to a 400-unit residential condominium development.
  • Provided acquisition counsel to a financial institution in expanding its branch facility network by 30 locations in a three-year timeframe.
  • Provides transaction counsel and day-to-day legal advice to a variety of privately held businesses, including paper recycling, printing, and automotive services.
  • Conducted and coordinated loan workout services for a large regional financial institution that required collateral recovery or debt restructure of more than 60 loans to auto dealers and recreational vehicle dealers throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
  • Successfully coordinated multiple loan enforcement efforts involving a series of loans to a large commercial construction company and its affiliated industrial development company.
  • Provides counsel to a hotel operator and developer in acquisition and disposition of several properties located from Maryland to California.
