Casandra Carpenter represents various lenders, funds, master servicers, and special servicers in transactions involving mezzanine and other subordinate debt financings, loan participations and other co-lender arrangements, whole loan sales, post-closing modifications, work-outs, and foreclosures. She has a broad practice in both over-the-counter derivatives transactions and in capital market transactions with derivatives elements.

Casandra focuses her practice on:

  • Syndicate, bank and securitized lending
  • Affordable housing and new market tax credit lending
  • Preferred equity
  • Debt funds
  • Commercial mortgage servicing

She has experience in negotiation and documentation of ISDA master agreements, master repurchase agreements, collateral, and other credit support documents.

She assists clients in various transactional activities including documentation of structured transactions, credit default swaps, credit-linked notes, interest swaps, floors and collars, asset swaps, and total return swaps. In particular, Casandra advises several federal home loan banks in their derivatives transactions. She is a regular speaker on a variety of issues affecting real estate finance.
