Cori Leonard Young’s practice has focused on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) servicing in the last 10 years, and there isn’t much she hasn’t seen when it comes to servicing issues. Her strong real estate background – 15 years as a general real estate law practitioner before shifting focus – coupled with her knowledge of CMBS and general lending issues give her a perspective that her clients count on for coming up with solid advice and innovative solutions to almost any servicing transaction.
  • Structured, negotiated, and documented numerous loan originations and assumptions for both conduit and life insurance company lender clients, including acting as lead counsel in assumption of $1 billion in multi-tranched loans secured by Manhattan office building.
  • Represented national REIT borrower in $147 million refinance of the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Represented national owner/manager of golf courses in acquisition and leasing of numerous golf courses throughout the United States.
  • Served as lead outside real estate counsel for leading national restaurant franchisor.
  • Served as lead outside real estate counsel for national hardware company in its leasing, acquisition, and disposition of retail sites across the United States, as well as in two major reorganizations.
  • Represented national REIT in disposition of shopping center and multi-family portfolios.
