Dwayne Fulk likes puzzles. The more complex, the better. He also enjoys helping clients overcome the many challenges they encounter, and for nearly 20 years he has provided proactive and responsive legal and business advice, counsel and solutions to nearly all entity types, sizes and owners and at every stage of development.
Dwayne’s approach is to seek collaborative and innovative solutions that result in successfully completed transactions. Often acting as general outside counsel, he relishes the chance to visit and get to know each client's unique personnel, business and industry and understand their essential concerns, obstacles and opportunities.
As a corporate and transactional lawyer, his experience has emphasized mergers and acquisitions, finance and development, franchise and distribution, international transactions, entity formation and startup, financing transactions and software development and licensing. He has represented many family-owned businesses, including succession and transition planning and implementation for their management and owners, many of which are in the technology, software, telecommunications, energy, grocery, retail, manufacturing, solid waste, realty, title and escrow services, real estate investment, financial services, legal services, investment services, restaurant, construction, health care, veterinary, pharmaceutical, insurance, travel, shipping, and tourism industries, as well as educational institutions and other nonprofit organizations.
Active in professional, civic and charitable organizations throughout his career, Dwayne has served as president of the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross; Kingswood Preschool and Kindergarten; Leadership Springfield Inc.; Rotaract Club of Springfield and Springfield's Best Inc.; and as a member of the boards of directors of the Greater Ozarks International Trade Association, Missouri Paralegal Association, and Springfield's Best Foundation Inc. He has taught as an adjunct professor in political science, business law and other areas, and is a frequent speaker on legal issues of board service, alternative financing arrangements, international trade, and various business matters.
