Along with his extensive legal experience, Jack (Jay) Mankamyer’s master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate and master’s degree in tax law help him understand deals from a business perspective and provide additional value to real estate clients.

Jay’s experience includes the representation of real estate developers, purchasers, sellers, investors, and lenders in various complex commercial real estate transactions including:

  • General outside counsel to international ski resort corporation with respect to all operational and development matters
  • Representation of buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of commercial and residential property

  • Representation of developers in the entitlement and financing stages of projects
  • Representation of landlords and tenants in the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases
  • Representation of owners, managers, architects, and contractors in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts
  • Representation of lenders and borrowers in loan negotiation and documentation
  • Successful closing of refinancing and negotiation in sale of a 600-residential-lot development.
  • Successfully negotiated the sale of single-family and multifamily residential lots while simultaneously negotiating and closing a refinancing of the property.
  • Assisted on real estate matters related to the purchase of a large-scale hospital system.
  • Successful negotiation of a pipeline easement and construction agreements on behalf of a multinational oil and energy client.
  • Represented an owner in successfully negotiated construction contracts for the construction of an oil pipeline.
  • Represented a lender in the successful closing of a deed in lieu of foreclosure conveyance of a luxury hotel.
