Wade Johnson is a shareholder in the Science and Technology practice group at Polsinelli. He practices in the areas of patent preparation and prosecution, patent litigation, patent opinions, and intellectual property licensing and acquisition. Mr. Johnson's clients cover the spectrum from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Johnson is a licensed professional engineer with over eight years of real world engineering experience prior to graduating from law school. He has substantial engineering experience with pumps and pumping systems, refrigeration/cooling equipment and systems, packaged and built-up air handling systems, boilers, high pressure process steam systems, incinerators, cleanroom/fab support systems, process gas systems, medical gas systems, natural gas and LPG systems, fire suppression systems, valves, and well drilling rigs.

As a patent attorney, Mr. Johnson has patent prosecution and opinion experience in the areas of mechanical devices and systems, electromechanical devices, microprocessor controlled systems, electrical devices and systems, wireless communication systems, and software. Wade is especially experienced in the area of medical devices, having drafted, prosecuted, rendered an opinion and/or assisted in litigation regarding well over 200 medical device patents and patent applications in the areas of dental tools, dental implants, endoscopic surgical devices, injection devices, infusion devices, laparoscopic surgical devices, intubation devices, carpal and cubital tunnel surgical devices, orthopedics, including joint replacement implants and spine implants, surgical filters, wound healing devices, and cardiology, including ablation devices, stents, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, leads, and delivery tools. He also has patent experience regarding surgical methods, surgical planning systems, MRI, prosthetic limbs, laboratory processors, patient transport devices, oral health products, medical fluid pathway connectors and valves, echocardiography systems, systems for creating bone substitute materials, and medical facility communication systems.
