Bill Prugh works with clients to solve major tax problems, minor tax problems, and everything in between. His tax planning counsel allows clients to avoid tax troubles, circumventing issues before they become a problem.
Bill represents clients in federal court, state courts, and state administrative agencies, as well as before state departments of revenue and the Internal Revenue Service. His services include tax audits, appeals, and controversies in Kansas, Missouri, and in other states where Polsinelli has an office.
His work for clients includes federal transfer taxes, estate taxes, gift taxes, state taxes, and local taxes. Bill is a frequent speaker and lecturer at several federal and state tax seminars and symposia on current tax topics. He keeps track of major legislative, regulatory, and judicial changes in the tax law. Bill recently served as the chair of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation Committee on State and Local Taxes from 2011 to 2013.
