Richard S. Brownlee III has served the corporate and business community in the Missouri state capital for over 35 years.
Department of Insurance - Specializing in insurance regulatory and legislative matters, he has served as counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies for this entire period. In addition, he provides corporate legal services to over 30 of the major property, casualty, life and health insurance industry leaders in matters dealing with market conduct exams, reorganizations and acquisition, complaint matters and agency issues.
Public Service Commission - He has served as general counsel to the Missouri Cable Telecommunications Association for a long period and has represented it on various matters dealing with telecommunications issues at the Commission. Additionally, he has represented the Missouri School Boards Association in utility cases involving special tariff purchasing agreements and general rate case matters. He has also represented major industrial users in various electric and gas rate cases, and has represented major intrastate pipelines on various environmental and permitting matters.
Department of Natural Resources - He has served as general counsel to the Missouri Limestone Producers Association and regularly handles major quarry and mining permit issues. In addition, he is counsel for one of the largest solid waste companies in the nation and has handled solid waste permitting for that company. He has also handled major environmental permitting for air quality issues and industrial lime production.
He has provided corporate legal services to the following Trade Associations in the state capital:
