Steven L. Imber is a shareholder in Polsinelli Shughart PC’s Overland Park, Kansas office and chairs the Insurance Business and Regulatory Law group.
Mr. Imber concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance law, third party administration law and medical discount plan law. His practice includes an emphasis on representing insurers, medical discount plans and third-party administrators on a variety of compliance and regulatory issues and he serves as national outside regulatory counsel for a number of insurers, medical discount plans and third-party administrators on a national and multi-state basis.
Mr. Imber has successfully represented insurance companies, medical discount plans and third-party administrators with state insurance department and attorneys general investigations and enforcement actions, market conduct examinations, audits and compliance programs and various other regulatory and compliance matters. Mr. Imber has also successfully assisted both medical discount plans and third-party administrators with national and multi-state licensing projects.
Through his experience as a former insurance regulator and his regulatory and compliance representation of insurers, medical discount plans and third-party administrators, Mr. Imber has the knowledge to provide quality counsel to insurers, medical discount plans and third-party administrators at the state and national levels.
