What Hospitals Need to Know About Payment Changes in 2013
Wednesday, March 20, 2013
Congress established several new programs as part of health care reform designed to connect payments for health care services to quality. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has begun implementing these programs over recent years, and thus, hospitals are faced with new challenges. These programs and other recent payment changes are increasingly important for hospitals to consider. This webinar will discuss key topics related to quality-based payment programs and other payment policies that hospitals need to know for 2013. Specifically, the webinar will include the following topics:
* Key changes set forth in the Inpatient Prospective Payment System, Outpatient Prospective Payment System, and the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rules further implement the quality-related payment programs of the ACA
* Potential False Claims Act liability stemming from inaccurate reporting on quality metrics or worthless services
* Recommendations for hospitals to consider to perform well under these new payment policies
