WMAQ TV interviewed Polsinelli Shughart attorney George Jackson III about the Drew Peterson case. Jackson, a white collar criminal defense attorney and former assistant U.S. attorney, provided commentary on the issues of cameras in the courtroom and broadcasting the court hearing in real-time. Illinois is a "no TV in the courtroom" jurisdiction. The uniqueness of the Peterson appeal is that the appellate court allowed a live, real-time broadcast of the oral arguments on the case, the first time that have ever been done in Illinois.
