Elizabeth Murray brings over two decades of litigation experience to Polsinelli’s Health Care Professional Liability practice group. Elizabeth represents clients in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas. She routinely defends large-loss cases at the jury trial and appellate levels. Elizabeth has experience with cases that developed into class action litigation and multidistrict litigation.

Elizabeth’s broad background includes defending clients in other industries such as transportation, retail, manufacturing, water utility, finance, insurance and sports. Early in her career, Elizabeth worked as a state and federal prosecutor and in First Amendment litigation.

Since 2021, Elizabeth has served as a board member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF), the charitable arm of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). She is the Chair of the Student Law Academy (SLA), which provides students from underserved Kansas City high schools with meaningful experience and connections in the law. Elizabeth’s enthusiasm for the SLA has lead her to teach the Mock Trial program for the past three years and serve as a mentor and instructor for other phases of the program.
