Due to traditional investing volatility, alternative real estate investment products have recently been growing in popularity. As such, many large real estate sponsors have begun developing alternative investment product platforms, such as Real Estate Investment Trusts (“REITs”), Opportunity Zone Funds (“OZFs”), and Delaware Statutory Trusts (“DSTs”). This program will provide an overview of alternative investment structures, with a particular focus on REITs, OZFs, and DSTs from a real estate, tax, and securities perspective.
