The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) released its highly anticipated Provider Relief Fund (PRF) reporting guidance on June 11, 2021, which outlines deadlines for providers to use the funding received and when they will be required to report. The first reporting period begins July 1, 2021 and will continue through early 2023. In the new guidance, HHS created deadlines for use of the funds and reporting based on when providers initially received the funding. They will also be expected to use the funds within approximately one year of receipt. HHS provides the below table, which summarizes the deadlines for providers.
