Health Care Webinar Series | The Intersection of OCR Enforcement and Health Care Data Privacy & Security
March 8, 2018 | 12:00 PM - 1:15 CDT
Recent guidance from the HHS Office for Civil Rights includes information for health care providers on involving family and friends of patients with substance use disorders in their care. These policy-related updates will clarify the scope of the guidance from OCR. Following the policy discussion, our speakers will outline the data security issues highlighted by OCR’s recent enforcement actions, and discuss opportunities to provide support to clients with regard to data privacy and enterprise data security.
Polsinelli welcomes Iliana Peters as a new shareholder in our Washington, D.C. office, and a presenting speaker on this webinar. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Iliana spent more than a decade at the HHS Office for Civil Rights, most recently as the Acting Deputy Director and as the Senior Advisor for HIPAA Compliance and Enforcement.
