Jennifer Welborn supports the Intellectual Property practice with an emphasis on domestic and international patents. With significant experience in all areas of the intellectual property field, including patents, trademarks and copyrights, her primary focus is in patent prosecution. Her responsibilities include filing U.S., PCT and foreign patent and design applications, and performing patent assignment and family searches as part of due diligence efforts. She also assists clients in monitoring the status of their patent portfolios, organizing prior art disclosures, managing the legalization of formal documents and ensuring compliance with formalities required by U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. Additionally, she prepares and submits supporting documents, oversees all stages of domestic and international patent prosecution and reviews communications from the USPTO and international patent offices.
Before joining Polsinelli, Jennifer worked as patent paralegal and trainer for other law firms in Idaho and Maryland. She has been in the legal field for over 25 years and has a strong intellectual property background.
