Steeped in matters of high finance, Jay focuses his litigation practice on representing banks, financial institutions and other creditors in the areas of commercial loan workouts, foreclosures, receiverships, consumer and business bankruptcies, Uniform Commercial Code matters and various other creditors’ rights issues. Jay has extensive experience representing holders and servicers of commercial mortgage-backed securities debt, as well as court-appointed receivers in all types and sizes of real estate and business liquidation actions.

Jay has handled a wide variety of matters for clients in the financial industry, and other areas of business, in state and federal courts spanning the entire country, including bankruptcy court. In addition, Jay has provided valuable legal counsel to a wide variety of other individual and corporate clients in matters involving real estate law, business disputes and general commercial litigation. Prior to law, Jay served as the Legislative Assistant in the office of Illinois Senator Celina Villanueva.
