Katharine Doerksen advises clients in the evolving health care industry, providing strategic counsel aligned with providers’ business and legal objectives. Her practice focuses on representing health care organizations and professionals in regulatory, operational and litigation-related matters.
Katharine works with hospitals and health systems, physician groups, individual practitioners, home health agencies and long-term care providers. She provides comprehensive guidance on compliance, risk management and industry-specific legal challenges, helping clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks while supporting their operational goals.
Before joining Polsinelli, Katharine served as a Research Attorney at the Johnson County District Court, where she gained experience analyzing legal issues and assisting with judicial decision-making. During law school, she interned with the Office of the General Counsel for District of Columbia Public Schools and with the Special Victims and Family Violence Unit of the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, Maryland.
