Polsinelli Continues New York Growth with Addition of Tax Shareholder Kal Dargan
Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Kal Dargan has joined the firm’s Tax Practice as a shareholder in New York, continuing its strategic growth in the market. Dargan’s arrival follows the firm’s continued expansion in New York, including the recent additions of Shareholders Jonathan K. Kitchen and Daniel E. Dargan’s practice focuses on a broad spectrum of federal income tax matters, including U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and joint ventures, spinoffs, bankruptcy reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings, private credit, and internal restructurings, with an emphasis on delivering practical, tax-efficient solutions throughout the business lifecycle.
“Kal’s sophisticated transactional tax experience and practical, business-oriented approach make him a strong addition to our team,” said William J. Sanders, Chair of Polsinelli’s Tax Practice. “His addition further enhances our ability to guide clients through sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions while strengthening our support for asset managers and other investors across the lifecycle of their investments.”
Dargan has extensive experience advising on the tax implications of equity and debt investments, corporate and partnership matters, alternative investment products, qualified small business stock, capital structure changes, financing transactions, tax credit transfers and international tax matters. Additionally, Dargan has advised investment funds on matters involving formation, structuring, fund operations, management and GP arrangements.
