The Center for Emerging Technologies and Polsinelli invite you to join us for the next event in our 2013 Advance St. Louis series, featuring in-depth, comprehensive sessions on topics vital for entrepreneurs competing in highly aggressive technology industries.

Advance St. Louis presents: Corporate Partnering

Corporate research partnering relationships between an emerging technology company and a larger corporation have the potential to be win-wins: the emerging company can receive funding and expertise, plus validation, while the larger corporation can access a product candidate or pipeline. But, these relationships can take a long time to put together and have multiple pitfalls for the unwary. Plus, the emerging company must decide if the benefits of the partnering provide sufficient offset of the potential cost of a loss of some upside in the product candidate or pipeline, and how ill that affect the emerging company's ability to raise funds. An experienced panel of speakers will explore this topic from a variety of directions including how large companies view the partnering process and model, how emerging companies can build a partnering network, how investors look at partnering, and the relevant legal issues. With plenty of time for questions and answers, we are confident that you will find this program to be interesting and informative.
