The Denver office of national law firm Polsinelli recently welcomed three associates to serve clients in the key practice areas of Real Estate Development and Science and Technology.

Rene M. Larkin and Jack (Jay) L. Mankamyer II joined the Denver office’s Real Estate Development practice, while Joshua J. Pranckun is an associate in the Science and Technology practice.

“The addition of three new associates underscores our focus on strategically growing the Denver office and supporting national and regional clients,” said Gene Commander, managing shareholder of the Denver office of Polsinelli. “Rene, Jay and Joshua further strengthen our team of attorneys in key industries, especially as the real estate market rebounds and the Rocky Mountain region fuels innovation in the science and technology sectors.”

Larkin focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and development, leasing and real estate aspects of the health care industry. She also has experience with commercial real estate finance matters representing commercial lenders and special servicers on a number of finance matters including loan originations, workouts, foreclosures and note sales. She previously practiced in Tampa, Fla., and recently returned to her home state of Colorado. She is admitted to practice in both Colorado and Florida. Larkin earned her law degree from Florida State University, graduating cum laude. She also holds a B.A. from Gordon College.

Mankamyer focuses on real estate transactions and real estate litigation. His experience includes representing buyers, sellers and investors in the purchase and sale of property, landlords and tenants in residential and commercial leases, owners and general contractors in construction contracts, and lenders and borrowers in drafting and reviewing loan agreements. He is admitted to practice in Colorado. Mankamyer graduated with his law degree from the University of Colorado and holds a Master of Law degree in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He also earned his MBA in Real Estate, and he graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Georgetown University. Mankamyer is on the board of directors of the Castle Rock Economic Development Corporation and serves on the mentor/mentee committee of NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association).

With engineering and business experience, Pranckun focuses his practice on protecting intellectual property rights in the areas of patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark. His experience also includes litigation support, licensing, and counseling clients on matters such as patent and trademark protection, startup formation and financing, technology assignments, and software license agreements. Prior to joining the firm, Pranckun was an intern with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he enforced the mobile fuels provisions of the Clean Air Act. He was also a student attorney at the University of Colorado Law School’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, where he primarily represented technology startup companies. Pranckun also has experience as a mechanical engineer in the areas of design and manufacturing. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Pranckun earned his law degree from the University of Colorado and holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
