Polsinelli hired a longtime Fish & Richardson PC litigator who specializes in trade secret theft cases and wage-and-hour disputes to join its labor and employment and commercial litigation practices in Dallas, the firm announced Friday.

Stephen Fox, who spent 11 years at Fish & Richardson, following an eight-year stint at the now-defunct Jenkens & Gilchrist PC, moved to Polsinelli in August, and said the firm’s “super deep bench” and expanded footprint have already benefited his practice and clients.

Fox said Friday he found appealing Polsinelli’s business focus on serving clients with legal needs “between the bet-the-company type of work and everything else,” which he said gives him more freedom to serve as a business partner to his clients.

“There are more creative fee arrangements at Polsinelli because it’s a long-term play as opposed to a short-term, one-off play,” Fox said. “The idea here is that the relationship is going to last longer and be more broad-based because we have all the different practice groups. Because it’s more broad-based, longer-term, there’s a stronger value proposition.”
