Partner Bobby Guy and counsel Robert Dempsey will bring to Polsinelli a niche practice helping clients buy, sell and fix distressed companies in the health care industry.

“We picked Polsinelli because we wanted an Am Law 100 firm that had a strong health care practice, a deep restructuring bench and a mid-market client base in all the major first-market cities,” Guy adds. He says talks with Polsinelli began about six weeks ago.

In 2013, The New York Times labeled Nashville the “It” city. Guy, who’s been practicing as a lawyer there for over 20 years, attributes much of the growth to the booming health care industry. 

Longtime Polsinelli chairman Russell Welsh concurred with Guy.

“We've been looking there for the last three years,” he says. “It’s a terrific place for us to be because of our health care practice, and it’s just a great city.”
