On December 12-13, 2016, the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section will host the 14th annual Washington Health Law Summit at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. Polsinelli is a key sponsor of the Summit and has several Polsinelli attorneys participating in the event.
Cybil G. Roehrenbeck

This session with two of the top healthcare reporters in the Nation’s capital will discuss what to expect in the next Administration and Congress. Ms. Roehrenbeck also served the Summit by organizing talks on “Precision Medicine: Understanding Medicare Coverage and Reimbursement,”
and “The New Normal: Telehealth Gains Traction,”
which will include the perspectives of healthcare stakeholders and policymakers.
Additionally, Sidney Welch, member of the ABA Health Law Section Governing Council, will be a speaker on the panel “Going Micro with MACRA: The Rule, the Implementation, and the Realities”
where she and Larry Kocot, Principal and National Leader at KPMG, will discuss the background and the policy objectives of the Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), as well as recently-published final rule-making on the law. This panel follows Polsinelli’s deep dive into the implications of MACRA for patients and healthcare providers, outlined in a series of Polsinelli articles on MACRA essential concepts, alternative payment models, and the merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS).
