Polsinelli PC announced on Monday that it has shored up its white collar and litigation practices in New York by tapping a former partner at Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman LLP with experience handling complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense and government investigations.
Adam K. Grant will join Polsinelli as a shareholder and is the firm’s first white collar and commercial litigator to be based in New York. He previously served as a partner at Kasowitz Benson, where he was employed for nine years, and also served as an associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges LLP, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Grant also has experience representing individuals and businesses in complex and high-stakes criminal and regulatory investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Attorney General's office and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Russ Jones, the head of Polsinelli’s litigation department, lauded the arrival of the new shareholder.
“We really needed someone of Adam’s caliber and experience in New York City,” Jones said in a statement. “Adam brings us a wealth of experience in litigation, e-discovery and many other areas that we needed. I’m excited to see what Adam will do for our existing and new clients on the East Coast and nationally.”
