This week, Kansas City announced announced plans for a $300 million, 800-room Hyatt hotel and convention center downtown. The proposed hotel tower and parking garage would be located just south of the downtown freeway loop. Supporters say Kansas City has lost major conventions due to a lack of hotel space.

As City Manager Troy Schulte told The Kansas City Star, "We worked to come up with a cash model with no risk based on performance and without putting the city in further debt."

Polsinelli's Roxsen Koch is pleased to provide legal counsel on this project in a collaborative effort negotiating the public/private partners in economic development incentives. Roxsen is a deal maker in public-private partnerships and has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development and public finance.

The Kansas City Star, The Kansas City Business Journal and KCTV5 were among the media outlets that covered the announcement May 11, 2015.
