Trump’s DOT landing team is starting work at the department’s headquarters today, our Lauren Gardner scoops for Pros. A member of the transition team said Martin Whitmer, a lobbyist and partner at Whitmer & Worrall, resigned as Trump’s transportation policy lead. He was replaced by Marcus Lemon
, who served as chief counsel at the Federal Highway Administration under President George W. Bush. The transition team has undergone a shakeup because of a rule that members must terminate their lobbying registrations and promise to abstain from lobbying for five years after they leave government.
