Trump’s DOT landing team is starting work at the department’s headquarters today, our Lauren Gardner scoops for Pros. A member of the transition team said Martin Whitmer, a lobbyist and partner at Whitmer & Worrall, resigned as Trump’s transportation policy lead. He was replaced by Marcus Lemon, who served as chief counsel at the Federal Highway Administration under President George W. Bush. The transition team has undergone a shakeup because of a rule that members must terminate their lobbying registrations and promise to abstain from lobbying for five years after they leave government.
