Please join us for the next event in our 2013 Advance St. Louis series, featuring in-depth, comprehensive sessions on topics vital for entrepreneurs competing in highly aggressive technology industries.
Advance St. Louis presents:
Planning for an Initial Public Offering
Contemplating and conducting an IPO from the initial planning stage to post-offering
One of the potential, and more infrequently used, exit strategies for founders and early investors in a start-up company is the successful implementation of an Initial Public Offering of a company's securities. At first blush, IPOs may appear to be something of the holy grail for companies (i.e., something believed in and sought after, but ultimately unattainable). However, over the past several months, the amount of IPO activity has spiked. This fact suggests that such an exit strategy need not be dismissed as an impossibility. Successfully navigating an IPO requires careful planning, a trusted team of advisors, and patience. The session will generally discuss the requirements and procedures associated with the IPO process, and will include discussions from industry representatives on the strategies and pitfalls of navigating an IPO.
