Polsinelli welcomes transactional real estate attorney Sandra I. Herrera to the national law firm’s Los Angeles office as an associate. Herrera focuses her practice on real estate development, and simple and complex real estate transactions for various industries.

“Sandra brings a real world skill set to our growing national real estate development and transactions practice,” said Practice Area Chair John D. Petersen. “Sandra’s transactional real estate background is diverse and will be an asset for our firm on the West Coast.”

Los Angeles Managing Partner Lisa Greer Quateman added, “We are actively expanding our Los Angeles office. Sandra is a great addition and will be of tremendous value to our clients. Her real estate experience and educational background are first rate. I have worked with Sandra over the years and am delighted that she decided to join our team.”

Herrera has represented private parties, non-profit corporations and government entities in a broad range of real estate transactions. Her experience includes the financing, acquisition and disposition of commercial, industrial and residential property, hospitals, hotels, and undeveloped land, the drafting of covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs), complex easements and deeds, as well as title review, leasing, and the acquisition of real property through negotiation by governmental agencies.

The addition of Herrera to the Los Angeles office occurs during an exciting period of overall growth for Polsinelli, which has seen its national footprint expand to nine states and 16 cities. The LA office recently relocated to new space to accommodate its own personal growth, having recently leased nearly 26,000 square feet of Class “A” trophy office space at Century Park’s Century Plaza Towers.

The Los Angeles office opened in 2011 and has attorneys who provide counsel in a variety of areas including banking and financial institutions, corporate law, energy and utilities, mergers and acquisitions, municipal law, real estate development, commercial litigation, health care, finance and transactions.

“Polsinelli offers me an outstanding opportunity and a national platform to further develop my own practice while working with highly respected attorneys. The firm’s integrated business model and commitment to client service is particularly attractive to me, and I am excited about the firm’s growth potential and future here in Los Angeles,” Herrera said.

Herrera earned her law degree from Stanford Law School in 2005, a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan in 1997 and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Carleton College in 1994. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar, the Mexican American Bar and the Latina Lawyers Bar associations, and serves as CFO of the Mexican American Bar Foundation.

Herrera is an excellent source for reporters working on stories about:
